Rules for Publishing

General Rules

  1. Only posts which relate to the game Diplomacy or its variants are allowed.
  2. Contributions are accepted from anyone who plays Diplomacy, whether online or not. This means I will accept contributions from players on any website. There should be no antagonistic comments or language aimed at any website.
  3. Respect is expected. Posts or comments which are personally abusive towards any contributor will be edited or removed. Respect the person, if not the content.
  4. Posts should be accessible in regard to the language used to all readers. Whilst profanity is not banned, post titles containing profanity are not allowed. No adult content is allowed.
  5. Posts or comments containing racist, genderist, are hateful towards sexual orientation, or feature any other hateful sentiment, are not allowed.

Posting about games

  1. As most sites do not allow questions, comments or discussion about on-going games, posts or comments featuring these games are not allowed.
  2. Commentaries about finished games are allowed. However, due to data protection, player names or pseudonyms should not be used; instead, use the names of the power played.
  3. Direct quotations from games are only allowed in context.
The Administrator (editor) of the site reserves the right to edit, remove or prevent the posting of any post or comment, regardless of the consent of the author.
An author has the right to request the removal of a post should s/he wish.

The Black Sea Theatre (part 4): Russia

When thinking about the  Diplomacy  board you may think of dividing it into zones.  A traditional division is to split the board into two parts: the Northern (or Western) Triangle, featuring England, France and Germany, and the Southern (Eastern) Triangle of Russia, Austria-Hungary and Turkey. Personally, though, I prefer to narrow down the areas of the board and consider the possibilities there.
